How To Get Rid Of Bed Bugs: Welcome to the Puratak System
Bed Bugs in the home or business is an extremely stressful event. Having over 10 years experience specialising in professional bed bug heat and chemical treatments we understand all of the aspects of this nasty pest to have. Using our experience we have developed the Puratak system providing tried and tested bed bug products for home and business use. Check out our video showing how to treat bed bugs using the Puratak system.
The most efficient way to deal with a bed bug infestation is a professional heat treatment which by their very nature are expensive, usually costing upwards of £1000.
This is why we developed the Puratak system which offers products and techniques that work for professionals without the cost. For example the our bed bug interceptor trap comes with a non-slip mat so that the bed doesn't move when getting in or out like other traps on the market.
Our simple solution means bed bugs outside the bed area get stuck in the trap on their way on to the bed so you only need to treat the bed for bugs already on there. The bed bug interceptor traps are also really useful as a bed bug monitor. Quite simply the best lure (unfortunately!) is a human lying in the bed. So by placing the traps on the legs of the bed as the bugs make there way from a bag (perhaps one you took on holiday for example?) they get stuck in the trap showing you there is a problem. At the same time stopping bed bugs outside the physical bed area getting on to the frame, means you now only need to concentrate on the bed itself for treatments.
What Do Bed Bug Bites Look Like?
Bed bug bites come in all shapes and sizes. The reality is everybody shows up bites differently, and some don't show at all. Our picture shows a nasty reaction to bed bugs which were all over the body. In some instances bed bugs bite in lines of three but NOT ALWAYS. The reason they can is when they look for a blood meal (that usually being someone sleeping) on a host they pierce the skin looking for the blood. They may not hit a blood vessel/vein on the first go and so they move on and little further forward and pierce again, repeating the process until the blood meal is found, leaving sometimes lines of bites.
